Trowunna is proudly owned and operated by a private Tasmanian family company and receives no external funding to support the day-to-day operation of the Sanctuary.

All operational costs are covered entirely through visitor entry fees and purchases made in our shop.

We currently run five dedicated conservation programs, each requiring significant ongoing investment. One of these is the Save the Tasmanian Devil Program, through which Trowunna has contributed more than $3 million in support over the past 14 years alone.

Every visit & purchase directly supports the care of our animals, the operation of the Sanctuary, and the protection of Tasmania’s extraordinary wildlife for future generations.
