Trowunna is a wildlife park with a difference

We're open every day except Christmas (9am-5pm) !

We started caring for our native animals 30 years ago, and continue to house the world's largest heritage population of endangered Tasmanian Devils.

Trowunna Wildlife Park is a privately owned wildlife park, for native Tasmanian wildlife. Trowunna has a great range of marsupials, birds and reptiles on site. Trowunna has become such an animal friendly place that much of the wildlife is drawn to the sanctuary as a natural safe haven.

The primary goal for Trowunna Wildlife Park is wildlife conservation and education. The ecological sustainability of the Tasmanian flora and fauna is of valued importance. We take sheer delight in seeing the smiles of so many visitors as they explore the sanctuary that is Trowunna.

Trowunna is an integral part of the larger picture of wildlife in Tasmania. Centrally set amongst varying environments, Trowunna provides an oasis to transient and migratory wildlife looking to travel through what are, sometimes hostile environments. Where we are located is a crossroad where animals from alpine, forested, and costal regions can meet and traverse across safely.

Here at Trowunna, we only care for our native Tasmanian fauna, except for our Koalas which we have been breeding for over 20 years as part of a disease free population. Where better a place to display our wonderful selection of Tasmanian fauna, than amongst our naturally occurring array of habitats with native flora.

Trowunna Wildlife Park, Mole Creek Tasmania has daily educational interactive tours with group and private bookings welcome. With facilites such as a the Devil Education and Research Centre, a gift shop, parking, toilets, picnic tables, bbq's and disabled accessability. The Devil Education and Research Centre at Trowunna aims to highlight the unique carnivorous mammals that live in Tasmania.

Trowunna Wildlife Park, 65 acres of serene sanctuary for our Native Tasmanian Wildlife, experience the magic, nature's wonderland, a wildlife park that still is as it was 25 years ago.
